We are Steve & Darcy, and we would like to introduce ourselves and give you a little idea of who we are and what you can expect from fab4sentimentaljourney.

Steve

I have been a fan of The Beatles for as long as I can remember. I believe it was the occasion of Paul McCartney's 50th birthday, when British TV screened the two Beatles movies, A Hard Day's Night, and Help!. I would have been 13 years old at the time and those movies changed my life, the music hit me and I was forever hooked. I can still remember finding my first Beatles album in my local second hand record shop, it was Beatles for Sale, downstairs in Sounds Familiar on North Street in Romford, and there started a lifelong obsession collecting Beatles memorabilia.

Darcy

I have been a fan of The Beatles my entire life. My Dad and I would sit and watch the movies when i was younger, and every now and then we'd spend hours just watching the music videos online, and my Dad would constantly tell me bits of information during every song. He's full of useless Beatles information, and if he starts showing you his collection, there's no escape!. My Dad started taking me to Liverpool when i was about 10, to see the different places, childhood homes, museums, and stuff like that, and he gets so excited, telling me things about everywhere we go, and I love it. So when he asked me if I wanted to do this with him, I said yes straight away.

Steve

I first visited Liverpool on my 21st birthday, I wanted to visit the museums, ride on the Magical Mystery Tour bus, and see as much as I could squeeze into that long weekend, and from the moment I was about to travel home, I knew I wanted to embark on a pilgrimage to anywhere that had a connection to The Beatles.

Now many years later, my daughter and I have decided that we want to try to visit every UK site of historical value in the lives and careers of The Beatles, and of the many important people that entered their lives and helped to shape the legend we all know today. We will visit, research, and document, places of birth, homes, places of employment, concert venues, and places that hold special memories, as well as those that inspired the songs that now inspire all of us. We want to discuss The Beatles connection to these places, as well as researching a bit of the history of that location as well.

This is a massive passion project for us, which we will be doing in our spare time, but we wanted to give the opportunity for anybody who wants to, to join us on this sentimental journey through the history of The Beatles.
